It does this by inhibiting the binding of testosterone to Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG).  SHBG is is a protein made by our liver and it binds tightly to 3 sex hormones found in both men and women.  These three hormones are estrogen, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and testosterone.  The job of SHBG is to carry all three of these hormones throughout our blood.  Nettle root inhibits the binding of testosterone to SHBG.  Consequently, this allows for higher levels of natural testosterone in the body.  Simply put, It naturally frees up any testosterone that is already in the body; Unlike testosterone replacement therapy which adds testosterone to the body which is extremely dangerous.
